Introducing Cierre1972
Cierre1972 is a family operated Italian furniture brand, with a focus on upholstery and follow the principles of the Made in Italy ethos.
The story of Cierre1972 begins with its name. The name Cierre was formed from the initials of the two founders, Cesarino and Romano Conficconi both from the province of Forli, who in 1972 embarked on their entrepreneurial journey.
Their journey began as upholsterers, perfecting their craft with local manufacturers in the Emiglia Romagna area of Italy before venturing out on their on to embark what has been an incredible journey in creating a collection upholstered furniture that has incredible detail and craftsmanship, staying true to the Made In Italy design ethos.
Today, the company continues to be a family affair, with son Stefano taking the reins to continue to grow the image of the Cierre brand into the future without compromising on the uniqueness, modern without overlooking craftsmanship, and international without forgetting its humble origins.

Highly detailed, highly individual sofas
One of the standout products of the Cierre1972 collection is the Belt sofa. As its name alludes, it is characterised by the decorative belt that wraps and pinches around the sofa, which is available only a select few leathers, highlighting the classic silhouette. The metal armrest, that is available in different finishes, completes the details of this beautifully crafted sofa.

Unveiled at the 2024 Milan furniture fair, the Chapeau sofa has set the benchmark for what a Made in Italy sofa should be: Comfort, versatility and incredible craftsmanship.
The sofa is the centerpiece of any living room and whilst it should set the aesthetic tone for the space, it also needs to be practical and comfortable. This is where the Chapeau sofa excels as it features reclining armrests and backrests and soft and supportive seating.
